Sixers Continue to Play Loads of Basketball
Well the first quarter of the season has completed and we have learned quite a bit about this basketball team. They are overall winners, having won over 70% of their games thus far, which is very good, especially considering a grueling West Coast stretch partly without EMBIID, and a horrific outing where the star big man went scoreless. As a whole, however, this season so far is very encouraging and hopefully things will only improve from there.
It's also worth noting that the season is very, very long. Just this past Saturday I played some pickup basketball for a couple of hours and only now, 5 days later, am starting to feel the soreness wearing off. I by no means consider myself anywhere near as fit as a professional athlete but still, I tip my hat to those guys who make a living flying all over the country busting it hard nearly 3 quarters of the year. Kudos!
Looking ahead, the 76ers have a bit more challenging of a schedule, playing the likes of Denver and Boston again, for example. I still don't quite get how Boston is any good but scoreboards don't lie and there they are high up there in the standings. I get that Kemba and Tatum are good, especially Tatum who breaks ankles like nobody's business. But they just don't have the depth or size that Philly has and will ultimately lose out. Denver of course beat us in their home because they play at high altitudes and the Sixers just ran out of gas in the fourth. Either way, should be some fun games to watch.
Tonight the Sixers are back in action in DC where they play the absolutely pathetic Wizards. Who does Washington have these days anyway, Brad Beal? John Wall? I don't even know, or care anymore. All I know is that they are a terrible team and even though they're away the Sixers should win.
Enjoy the games, Trust the Process, and buy the bookbag!
