Time to Panic Because Sixers Not So Good Afterall

Well I guess we should have all saw this coming but the Sixers are unfortunately not that good afterall.

After winning their first 5 games they have gone a measly 2-4 against mostly so-so teams. The only team they lost to that will actually be good was the Jazz, who I admittedly underrated in my last post. They are actually well-run and have a great deal of talent with their big three of Gobert, Donovan and Mike Conley.

I know Brett Brown likes to sit EMBIID and what have you but he really should play him more because he needs the experience to find his rhythm. Tobias Harris can't buy a bucket. Simmons won't shoot. There's just lots of problems here that need to get addressed.

I also know that the season is still very young, the team has a good record, starters haven't been playing yada yada yada but all this just means that the team better get it together and win in the Spring if their gonna play around with their fan base as they are currently. Coach Brown even went on to say they won't find their groove until at least Christmas. Christmas! Ok fine I mean they made it this far gaming the system so I guess they can game it a bit more but at this point they are starting to wear on the patience of their fan base. Watching a team supposed to be title contenders shoot worse than G-leaguers then dump away big leads in the 4th quarter, even if it is early, tests fans to the brink. You think AI's team played this game back in the day? No it didn't -- they went on to win their first 10 and never took their foot off the gas until Theo got hurt. Then what did they do? They acquire Mutombo because they knew that the only thing between the Lakers and a title was a big man. Well they wound up not beating the Lakers but came close most games and made it clear they deserved to win the East.

Yes the leagues changed alot but a lot still stays the same. And one of the same things is that players with heart and grit show up and play every game like their last. I know this post may come off as a bit pessimistic but that's what bad losses do. I'll bring back the positivity after the winning comes back. Until then they got their work cut out for them .

Don't really have a recommendation today because of how bad the team's been playing lately. The only thing I found was this book about managing expectations to deal with disappointment better. Because lets be honest -- these past couple weeks with this team have been very disappointing.
