Embiid Goes Old Skool
Sixers had a bit of fun during training camp when they spotted Joel Embiid's new hair style. He braided his hair in the old school 'corn rows' style made world-famous by Sixer and NBA Hall of Famer Allen Iverson a generation before him.
A significant nod to the greats of whose shoulders one may build upon by Embiid, for sure.
Now just as Embiid honors AI by adopting his hairstyle, thousands, if not millions of fans worldwide will now copy The Process and also opt to braid their hair. All good from my perspective, but it should go without saying that braids work for some much better than others.
You may feel inspired to twist up your hair in Embiid/Iverson fashion, but then realize that maybe your hair is better off unbraided. You could go ahead and undo the work, but after going through all the effort anyway, may as well rock them for at least a little while, no? Afterall, if you're ever in a situation where maybe you just need to hide your braids, you can always just wear a hat. And I found the perfect one for you.
I did some digging online and found a great hat that you should wear to cover your braids but also publicly demonstrate your support for the great modern past-time that is basketball. You can wear the BZANY® Deluxe Plush Basketball Hat to games along with your Sixers jersey (or whatever team you may support otherwise) to demonstrate your uncontested enthusiasm for all things basketball. Here is a link to purchase the hat (NOTE: Make sure to turn off your ad blockers to view the link):
Please wear this hat and your braids with pride and always support 'trust the process'!
