Sixers Yet Again Blow Big Lead and Lose
Yet Again, Sixers Blow Big Lead and
Lose
In London last Thursday, the Sixers
gave up a big 2nd quarter lead and lost to the Celtics.
Granted, the Celtics are very good this season but still, if Sixers
gotta lose, they gotta stop making it seem like they gonna win first.
Just don't even try. Well try, but keep trying so you don't keep
giving up big leads. They were up 22 points at one point, but
couldn't sustain the lead.
One bright point was TLC. While
everyone on the team who played more than 5 minutes ended the game as a zero or negative in their plus
minus, TLC, or as I like to call him, the French Firefly, finished as
a +16. A +16! See for yourself!
I know I fell out of my seat too when I
read that. Now you might think the reason for this is just because pretty much all of
his minutes happened in the first half during the Sixers early run to
a lead, but you would be wrong. He played only 4 minutes in the early part of the 2nd quarter, then played 3.5 minutes at the end of the 3rd and 3.5 at the end of the 4th, two points in which the Sixers were already well behind. Despite the team's decline, TLC maintained a positive presence and provided the Sixers an overall lift with him on the floor. Coach Brown should increase his minutes as a result of his stronger performance in this game.
Next up for the Sixers is a 1pm MLK Day
matinee tomorrow in Philly against Toronto. While Toronto is a good
team, the Sixers should shake off their London disappointment and win
this one because a) they are 0-3 against Toronto so they will want to
avoid the season sweep, b) give themselves a sense of redemption
after their tough loss to the Celtics and c) they had 3 days rest
after having 5 days rest before the Celtics game.
Let's also remember that the Sixers
were never full-strength in any of the 3 losses to Toronto. In the
first 2 they were without their best player, JoJo, and in the 3rd
they were without their arguably 2nd best, JJ. Tomorrow
both JoJo and JJ should play so they will have their best chance all
season to defeat the Raptors. The Raptors are good but not that good
and therefore the Sixers will win. Plus, they tend to step it up in
holiday matinees. So there ya go.

Don't forget to #vote! All Star weekend is coming up quick and so we need to make sure that the Sixers get in. I forgot to choose Bob Covington... don't make the same mistake I did! Choose Bob and the rest of the Sixers! Here's my votes, for your inspiration:

Look, I get it. You don't want to send me BTC. I wouldn't want to send BTC either. What with its high processing fees and crazy fluctuations in price, why send it over to me just because you enjoy my blog? That is why I am now accepting Dogecoin. Doge coin is a cryptocurrency that has much lower transaction fees, must faster transaction speeds, and has a super friendly support community. Not only that, but they have their very own mascot! Just google "Doge coin" and you'll know what I mean.
Another benefit of Dogecoin is that it is great for micro-transactions. 1 Doge is currently worth just about a penny, so no need to send 0.00001 of something, send a good ol whole number! Send a Doge!
