Sixers Can't Beat Bad Bulls or Kings
Sixers Can't Beat Bad Bulls or Kings
Last night the Sixers lost to the Bulls in Chicago. The Bulls, or should we call them, the terri-bulls, because they are really bad this season, found a way to beat the Sixers. Granted, Joel Embiid was a no-show again, but still, the Sixers again lose to an inferior team. Simmons had an opportunity to tie it in the final seconds but couldn't convert. Just an unfortunate game that the Sixers should use as a reminder of the fact that they really aren't as good as they thought.
And then tonight they come back home and lose again to the Kings. What a sad state of affairs. They were an 8.5 point favorite and still couldn't figure out a way to win. Story of the night was abysmal shooting. I hate to call out Roco but he was particularly off, hitting just 2 of his 13 3-point attempts. I'll say it again -- 2 for 13 from 3. Unacceptable.
Hopefully Embiid comes back soon and he helps them start winning again. But the fact of the matter remains that they are now a losing team that lost 7 of their last 8 where four of those losses were against inferior teams. Only time will tell but I'll say it again -- the Sixers have a long way to go. Next up for the Sixers are the Raptors at home. The Raptors are very good but a pick depends greatly on Embiid's availability so I will not make one for this game. But if I had to I would go with the Raptors. Hope I'm wrong because the Sixers really need to get back into a winning groove. But I'm not holding my breath.
My prediction record:
0-1
